I completed my Doctorate degree (Ph.D.) in Counselor Education & Supervision from Mercer University in 2016. During my doctoral studies, my area of focus included trauma and torture. I received my Master's degree (M.A.) in Community Counseling from Southeast Missouri State University in 2006. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Georgia. I provide individual, group, and couple's therapy for clients. I have worked in the mental health profession for over 14 years. I am an intensively trained EMDR Therapist for trauma and PTSD. I currently serve as an adjunct instructor with Richmont Graduate University and will be starting as Assistant Professor of Counseling with Richmont in January 2017. I have published articles and given presentations on various issues including trauma, military culture, ethical issues, and effective treatments for combat-related PTSD.
